When creating my website, I knew that I would want to carry out a colour scheme that matches my logo meaning that everything would match. As well as this, I knew the content I wanted to include -

  • Home page including an 'About Me'
  • Showreel
  • Personal projects 
  • My Inspirations 
Production Diary

December 14th 2021 - Today I have made progress with creating my website, but am still figuring out which path to take - which layout to go for, the colours used, etc. 
January 4th 2022 - I am currently still deciding the whole layout of my website, but am continuing to work on it outside of college hours 
January 12th 2022 - This lesson I completed my website, but may aim to include more things upon receiving feedback

Overall I am happy with the feedback I have received on my website. When asking my audience what they like about the website, I was glad the colour scheme was mentioned as this is something I planned to have throughout my work from the beginning. It was also nice to hear several people comment on the overall layout and how simple it is to navigate things - again this was something I wanted my website to include all along since I hope that whoever goes on to access my website can find their way around easily and locate different things. I was especially happy with the feedback on my second question, since it is extremely important that my website is effective to potential employers. 

Since receiving the answers to my last question, I have gone on to make changes to my website, such as making the practitioners statements on each project longer and more in depth, explaining what the client wanted and what I had created from that. I have also since added my showreel on my home page, since when I added it to a page of its own it looked quite bland and empty, so I feel having it on my homepage makes sense since it is what I would show employers, as well as my homepage not including a lot previous to this.

For this task I have conducted research into the current job market, looking at potential vacancies in areas I take interest in when thinking about my future career path. I looked into suitable media companies, such as ITV and BBC, analysing each role and breaking apart what skills are needed, and further action that may be needed when going for the role - travel, etc.  The first job role I looked into was a Journalism Researcher role at the BBC. I decided to look into this role as the requirements are that you should be passionate for working on podcasts, which I think is something which could interest me now and in my future.
